What is Foresight and how can I join?

Eyes are the future of science
Globally, millions of people suffer from eye disease or systemic disease affecting multiple parts of the body. New studies show that the eye holds information that can be used to prevent, detect and treat these diseases earlier. By working together we can advance research, helping find new ways to live longer and better.

Eye scans
Eye scans capture images from the back of your eyes (the retina), enabling health professionals to check for any abnormalities. These images are taken using two technologies - Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fundus Photography. These can be taken in seconds with no discomfort at most high street opticians.
Our Core Values
We believe that prevention and stopping diseases as early as possible should be the ideal of healthcare of the future. Foresight will create the data, technical and ethical foundations to enable it.
Trust is the fundamental pillar of our initiative: we will enable and nurture it through transparent collaborations between all stakeholders including the public, patients, researchers, industry and policy makers.
True impact for patients and the public can only be enable through real-world innovations created through research. Foresight will enable and encourage such innovations through ethical use of its data to improve health outcomes for all.

Join us in making a difference
There is a significant lack of data on early-stage and pre-disease conditions, which is slowing down research. By taking part in Foresight and donating your eye scans, you will be helping accelerate research and treatment for many eye and systemic diseases.
Join us in creating a healthier future for all.
